| Referrals | |
Please allow 72 hours to process a referral, unless in the case of an emergency. In most cases, patients will need to be seen by their PCP to evaluate the need for a specialist referral. When requesting a referral, let us know the name of the doctor you will be seeing and the date of your appointment. You are required to pick up your referral at our office. We DO NOT FAX OR MAIL these to patients or to the specialists. Insurance rules and regulations prohibit us from back-dating a referral. Note that you will not need a referral for any laboratory test. Authorization Instructions:
Please check with your insurance carrier to verify that the testing facility
participates with your plan. If your insurance requires an
authorization/referral for a diagnostic test, allow us at least 3-5 business
days to obtain approval from your insurance carrier. |
