| What Is a Nurse Practitioner? A Nurse Practitioner is a registered
nurse with advanced education and clinical training.
Nurse Practitioners are nationally certified to perform physical exams,
order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, diagnose
and treat chronic stable medical conditions, prescribe most medications, and promote
wellness and offer health education and counseling. |

Marilyn Adams, RN,
MSN, APN, is a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ with a
Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Nursing. She is Board Certified as an Adult Nurse
Practitioner. Marilyn joined Sussex County
Medical Associates in 2000. |
